The IN PERSON Hot Chocolate & Eggnog 1mi, 5k, 10k & Kids FUN Run on Saturday, December 10, 2024 is a great way to wrap up the year with a fun and unique holiday race that is perfect for everyone in the family! Wear the ugliest sweater, shirt or jacket that you can find! Join in the fun of racing around one of Westerville's best parks and trails and then enjoy some snacks and drink delicious eggnog and yummy hot chocolate!  

In keeping with the season's joy of giving, we will be having a toy, hat & glove drive for Project Memories Ohio upcoming Christmas Dinner and Presents program so start spring cleaning early and bring some hats, gloves and/or toys you may have tucked away in the garage to help families in need (encouraged but certainly not required). 

~Long sleeve race shirt plus choose your print type (short sleeve in kids sizes)

Project Memories is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.

Project Memories was created to help provide families in need in Central Ohio with memories that will last a life time by providing them with Back to School Supplies, Thanksgiving Dinner, Christmas dinner and new, customized, wrapped gifts for the children.

It started 11 years ago, helping only a handful of families and now has evolved into a multi county organization. Last year we helped a total of 93 families with meals and gifts. This meant 325 kids got to open presents last Christmas and over 1,750 total gifts were wrapped and donated.

This year we are on track to help 200 FAMILIES!!!!

For Back to School: We will help provide children with needed school supplies for their age/class! It will be roughly $150 per family. 

For Thanksgiving: We will provide freshly cooked Thanksgiving dinners for families in need. It will be roughly $70 per family. 

For Christmas: It takes roughly $300 to help one family.

The meal we provide is freshly cooked and all the gifts we get for the children are customized for each child, including clothes, toys, and any specific need that child has. Any amount of donation is greatly appreciated!

Race day packet pick-up and same day registration will open the morning of the event at 10:00am in the main parking lot of the Westerville Sports Complex off of Cleveland Ave (across from the Westerville Community Center). The address is:

The kids race will start at 10:55am. The 1mi, 5k and 10k will start just after the conclusion of the kids race at approximately 11:05am.

You can sign up for any of the races on event day.

Register by December 1 at noon to be guaranteed race shirt and size.

Kids FUN Run: (.14 miles)

Strollers and dogs (must be on a leash) are allowed.     

All courses will be on paved surfaces.    

Parking is free!    ​

Ample parking is available very close to the registration area and the start/finish line.    

Everyone will receive a finishers medal! There will not be an awards ceremony as everyone will get a medal in the 1mi, 5k and 10k.    

Virtual Race Information:  The race is in person however we will offer offer a virtual as well.    

Everyone signing up for the virtual race will receive a race day shirt, custom medal and custom bib.    

A Virtual 5K (or any other virtual race distance) is a race that you choose to complete wherever and whenever you would like. You can walk, run, or use a treadmill. The beauty of a virtual race is that you can run the race at your pace and at your convenience.    

It is not required to report your time however if you would like your race time posted you must email us no later than two days after the actual race.
